Ice rink renovation in Turkey

In week 48 we got for the 3rd time the order from the municipality in Istanbul to do the ice rink renovation works for the permanent ice rink in Silivrikapi, Turkey. The ice skating rink was built in September 2009 but the collaboration between us as company Ice Business and the Silivrikapi community started in 2012 when we delivered spare parts and accessories there, including Jet Ice Paints.

The arena consists of one Olympic size ice rink of 1740 sqm and a seating capacity of 900 persons and a mobile one with a size of 600 sqm and a capacity of 200 spectators.

This month we helped again to install the 600 sqm mobile ice skating rink. Our technician checked the equipment as also before starting the chiller (tested the EPDM mats if they have leakages, did repair works on the dasher board, filled in the glycol, etc.) to be sure that it respects the quality requirements for perfect functioning and a perfect ice quality.

As every year our technician painted the ice skating surface in brilliant Jet Ice white. He also measured and painted the 2 curling sheets and the Silivrikapi logo in dark blue. On the pictures you can see the convincing result.
