Olympic ice rink size

We receive inquiries for permanent ice skating rinks and mobile ice rinks on a daily basis, and very often we notice that the dimention variety of the ice rinks is not familiar to our prospects, especially when it comes to the Olympic ice rink size; we thought it would be helpful to write a short blog post with a few important points regarding this aspect. In Europe, the required dimention of the ice skating rink by the International Hockey Federation is 1.800 sqm: 60 metres (197') long and 30 metres (98'5") wide. But this is not the only rule that has to be respected, there is actually a full manual that can be found on the official website of the International Ice Hockey Federation called the "IIHF Official Rule Book", the actual edition being the 2014 - 2018 one.
