The World Ice Hockey Federation, International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) has already made changes to markings on the ice surface for the coming season.
This is the Goalkeeper Restricted Area, a trapezoid behind your own goal, which is comparable in size to those in the NHL.
If the puck is played by the goalkeeper outside of the specified zone, there will be a small penalty for delayed play!
Ice Business GmbH has implemented these rule changes and has been applying the new markings when the lines are applied to the ice field since it was introduced.
